Terms of service
Terms
These terms govern your use of Forgeroo and your subscription to it. Please read them before you subscribe.
Last updated 30 September 2026.
1. Who we are
Forgeroo is run by Dhanu Allen-Budiasa, of Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London, E17 3NU.
All correspondence, including notice of cancellation, should be sent to support@forgeroo.app.
Forgeroo is operated by a sole trader established in the United Kingdom. We do not hold professional liability insurance in respect of the service.
These terms are available on this page in a form you can save and print, and we send you a copy when you subscribe. This page is written in English, and English is the only language in which the contract is concluded.
2. These terms
These terms form the contract between you and us for your use of Forgeroo. By creating an account or subscribing you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Some provisions apply only if you are a consumer, meaning that you are not using Forgeroo wholly or mainly for the purposes of a business. Where that is the case it is stated. All other provisions apply to everyone.
3. The service
Forgeroo applies artwork you supply to product mockups, generates a title, description and tags for a marketplace listing, and, where you have connected a print provider, transfers the product to that provider as an unpublished draft for your review.
Forgeroo is a desktop application for macOS and Windows. It requires an internet connection and an active Forgeroo account, because listings are written on our servers and artwork for print providers is hosted by our storage provider. Mockups and listings produced by the application are stored on your own device.
4. Your licence to use the software
Forgeroo is licensed to you, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it to create listings for shops you operate. The licence lasts as long as you have a Forgeroo account, on the free plan or a paid plan.
What you may do
Install it on any computers you personally use. An account is for one person, so it may not be shared, and the application checks with our servers which plan you are on.
What you may not do
Share your account or sign-in with anyone else; rent, resell or sublicense the application; use it to run a listing-writing service for other people; work around the plan check; or reverse engineer it, except where the law gives you that right regardless of what we say here.
Updates
We release updates, because the application has to keep working with services that change outside our control. The application tells you when a new version is ready, and you download and install it yourself. Updates may add, change or remove features; section 20 says what we commit to when a change takes something away.
When your subscription ends
Your account moves to the free plan, with its smaller monthly allowance. Nothing is deleted. Your artwork, your mockups, your finished listings and your templates are files on your own computer, they remain yours, and you can keep opening and using them. We will not remotely disable or erase the application or anything you made with it. Subscribe again and full use returns.
Forgeroo does not come with mockup templates. You supply your own. Section 16 explains that you must have the right to use them.
The application includes open-source components licensed by their own authors on their own terms. Those terms, and the notices their authors ask us to pass on, are in the application: open Settings, and under About choose Open-source notices.
5. What you need to run it, and what else it may cost
Forgeroo runs on macOS and on Windows, and needs an internet connection, because the listing writing happens on our servers and the artwork for print providers is hosted by our storage provider.
To send products to a print provider you need your own Printify or Gelato account. You do not need one to make mockups or to have listings written. You do not need an Etsy account connected to us at all, and we never ask for one.
Costs that are not ours
Your subscription covers Forgeroo and nothing else. Anything your print provider charges you — for products, for printing, for shipping — is between you and them, on their prices, and we neither set nor receive any of it. The same goes for any fee Etsy charges you for listing or selling.
If you pay in a currency other than the one your card is issued in, your bank may add a conversion charge. That is theirs, not ours.
6. How Forgeroo uses AI
Forgeroo uses artificial intelligence to write listing text. This is the central thing it does, so it is worth being exact about what that involves.
What is sent, and to whom
When Forgeroo writes a listing for a design, a reduced-resolution copy of that artwork is sent to Anthropic, whose Claude models we use, together with the instructions for writing a listing, the product type, whether it is a digital product, and the keywords and product details you have given in your forge’s settings or on the Quick SEO screen. The text you have set to be added to every description is not sent: it is added on your computer afterwards. If you ask Forgeroo to improve a listing you already have, that listing’s current title, description and tags are sent as well. A rewrite from your wording alone sends no image: it sends your wording, the product type, any keywords or words to avoid you gave on the Quick SEO screen, and our writing instructions. The model looks at the image in order to describe it, and returns a title, a description and tags.
What is not done with it
Under the commercial terms we hold with Anthropic, your artwork and the text produced from it are not used to train their models. Anthropic deletes them within 30 days, and retains them longer only where something has been flagged as a breach of their usage policy, or where the law requires them to. We ourselves keep neither the copy of your artwork nor the listing text once it has been written.
What comes back
A draft. AI-written text can be wrong, can describe something that is not in your image, and can produce wording that does not suit your shop. Read it before you publish it.
In particular, and as our AI supplier requires us to tell you: factual assertions in AI-generated content should not be relied upon without independently checking their accuracy, as they may be false, incomplete or misleading. That includes anything it says about materials, dimensions, care instructions or origin — claims which are yours, not ours, once you publish them.
It may not be yours to own, and it will not be unique
Text produced by an AI model without enough human creative input may attract no copyright protection at all, in the UK or the United States. We assign you whatever rights we have in it and claim none ourselves, but we cannot warrant that there are any. If you want to own your listing copy, edit it so that the final wording is your own.
The model may also return the same or similar wording to other sellers from similar artwork, including your competitors. We do not warrant that what it writes is unique to you.
Your obligations as a seller
Etsy’s Seller Policy requires you to disclose in your listing if an item was created using artificial intelligence, and to disclose any production partner you work with. It also requires an accurate representation of how the item was made, by whom, and where it ships from. Those obligations rest with you. Forgeroo creates drafts; it does not publish them, and it cannot make those disclosures on your behalf.
That describes Etsy’s rules as they stood when these terms were last updated. They are Etsy’s to change, they do change, and the version in force when you publish is the one that binds you. Read their seller policies yourself rather than relying on our account of them.
Mockups are made by ordinary image processing on your own computer, not by AI. Nothing is generated, invented or altered in your artwork — it is your design, placed onto a template. Your template files and your finished mockups are never uploaded. What goes to the AI is a reduced-resolution copy of your design; what goes to your print provider is the design file itself, which they place on the product. The mockups stay on your computer, for you to add to your listing.
7. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to hold a Forgeroo account.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your sign-in details confidential. An account is for one person. You may install the application on more than one computer that you personally use, but you may not share an account with anyone else.
Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has obtained access to your account.
8. Independence from Etsy, Printify and Gelato
Forgeroo is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Etsy, Printify, Gelato or any other marketplace or print provider. Those names are used only to describe what Forgeroo works with, and their trade marks belong to them.
You need your own account with whichever of them you use, and your relationship with them is governed by their terms, not ours.
Forgeroo does not connect to Etsy at all. It holds no Etsy credentials, makes no request to Etsy, and has no access to your shop. Products reach Etsy through your print provider’s own integration, which you set up and control, and they arrive as drafts for you to review and publish yourself.
9. Using Forgeroo with Printify or Gelato
Connecting a print provider is optional. When you do, you give Forgeroo a key from your own provider account, and it uses that key to create products for you. The key is stored by your computer’s own encrypted store and never reaches us.
Required notices about Printify
Printify requires us to tell you, and we do: we are solely responsible for Forgeroo; Printify is not liable for any fault in it or any harm resulting from installing or using it; Printify cannot help you install or use it; and we are solely responsible for any liability arising from your access to or use of Forgeroo.
Products made this way skip Printify’s quality check
Forgeroo creates products through Printify’s API without using Printify’s Mockup Generator, and products created that way are not subject to Printify’s standard quality check process. Look at what you have made before you publish it.
What we do with your provider information
We request no more of it than the application needs. We do not sell it, share it, use it to compare you against anybody, or contact your buyers. We delete it within 30 days of you disconnecting the provider, of it no longer being needed, or of you asking. If we ever believed it had been exposed we would tell you, and Printify, within 24 hours of finding out.
Your print provider sets its own rules about how its mockups, templates and product images may be used, and those rules bind you. Provider APIs also limit how fast requests may be made; we may queue or slow requests to stay inside those limits, and delays caused by a provider are not a fault in Forgeroo.
10. The free plan
Forgeroo offers a free plan with a limited number of listings each month, shown on the pricing page. It also comes with 50 mockups from Quick mockups, once, to start you off. Like the free listings, they are counted per computer as well as per account. Forging listings on the free plan uses its listings as usual. The free plan is provided as it stands, without charge, and we may change or withdraw it at any time.
The free plan does not automatically become a paid plan and nothing is charged unless you choose to subscribe. The free allowance is per person, and we may limit or withdraw it where we reasonably believe multiple accounts are being used to obtain more of it.
11. Subscriptions, pricing and renewal
Plans are Basic, Standard and Pro. Each one includes a number of listings a month; the current plans and prices are on the pricing page and the price you are shown at checkout is the price you pay, including any tax.
One listing is counted each time Forgeroo writes listing text: once for each design, irrespective of the number of mockups produced from it and whether it was transferred to a print provider, and once for each listing rewritten from your own wording. Runs that produce mockups alone use no listings (on the free plan, Quick mockups uses its 50 free mockups instead). If Forgeroo fails to write the listing text for a design or a rewrite, that listing is not counted.
Unused listings do not roll over to the next month. Extra listings you buy on top of a plan do not expire.
Automatic renewal
Monthly subscriptions renew each month and annual subscriptions each year, at the price in force when you subscribed, and continue to renew until you cancel. A receipt is sent by email on each payment, stating the date and amount of the next payment due.
You may cancel at any time from your account page on this website, which the application’s Manage online button opens, or by email. No telephone call, written request or prior approval is required.
12. Your statutory right to cancel
If you are a consumer, meaning that you are not subscribing wholly or mainly for the purposes of a business, you have a statutory right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. Nothing in these terms affects that right.
Conditions, time limit and procedure
- The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which the contract was entered into.
- To exercise the right, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement. You may do so by email to support@forgeroo.app, by cancelling from your account page, or by using the model cancellation form set out in section 29. Use of that form is not obligatory.
- To meet the deadline it is sufficient that you send your communication before the cancellation period has expired.
- We will reimburse you without undue delay, and in any event no later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed of your decision, using the same means of payment you used. No fee is charged for reimbursement.
Supply beginning during the cancellation period
Forgeroo is available for use immediately on subscribing. By subscribing you expressly request that performance of the service begins during the cancellation period, and you acknowledge that if you subsequently cancel within that period you will be liable to pay an amount in proportion to the service supplied up to the time you inform us of your cancellation, calculated by reference to the total price of the contract. The balance will be reimbursed.
The commitments in section 13 are offered in addition to this and, in most circumstances, provide for a greater reimbursement.
If you are subscribing wholly or mainly for the purposes of a business, these statutory rights do not apply. The commitments in section 13 apply to all customers regardless, and we do not ask you to certify which you are.
Downloaded software and an online service, together
Forgeroo is both: an application you download, and services that run on our servers. The law treats those two things slightly differently when you cancel, and in one reading your right to cancel could end the moment the download begins.
We do not rely on that. Whichever way it is read, we treat the 14 days as running in full, and we apply section 13 to everybody. You will never be told that downloading the application cost you your right to change your mind.
13. Refunds
These refunds are offered in addition to your statutory rights, not instead of them. They apply to every customer, whether or not the rights in section 12 apply to you.
- Payments taken after cancellation. Refunded in full, without time limit.
- Minimal use, within the first 14 days. Where you cancel within 14 days of subscribing and have used no more than the number of listings below, we refund the payment in full rather than deducting a proportionate amount for what you used. The figure is fifteen listings, or two full runs at your plan’s batch size where that is more, so that trying it, finding it wrong, and trying once more still leaves you entitled to everything back.
- Basic: 15 listings or fewer
- Standard: 20 listings or fewer
- Pro: 30 listings or fewer
- Use above that, within the first 14 days. You pay proportionately for what you used and the balance is refunded, as set out in section 12.
- Annual renewals. Where an annual subscription has renewed and you did not intend it to, the renewal payment is refunded in full if you notify us within 30 days of that payment.
- Cancellation mid-period. Access continues to the end of the period already paid for. If you would prefer the unused portion to be refunded instead, we will do so on request.
Requests falling outside these categories will be considered on their facts. Contact support@forgeroo.app.
Refunds are made to the payment method originally used and typically appear within five to ten working days. Where the original payment was recent, your bank may remove the charge from your statement rather than showing a separate credit.
14. Cancelling
You may cancel from your account page on this website (in the application, Manage online takes you there), or by email. You are not required to complete a form, answer any question, or speak to anyone before cancelling.
Cancellation prevents any further payment and your access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Access is not withdrawn on the date of cancellation.
Your account, forges and settings are retained. You may resubscribe at any time.
15. If a payment fails
If a payment is declined, your account moves to the free plan straight away, and the application tells you. Stripe, who take our payments, tries the payment again over the following days.
Update your card from your account page, or with the application’s Update my card button, and your plan comes back as soon as the payment goes through. If it has still not been paid after Stripe’s last attempt, your subscription is cancelled. Your account, forges and settings are kept either way, and you can subscribe again at any time.
16. Your responsibilities
By subscribing you confirm and agree:
That you own, or are licensed to use, all artwork and all mockup templates you supply, that your licence permits the use you are putting them to, and that selling products bearing them does not infringe anyone else’s rights. Forgeroo processes what you give it; responsibility for the content itself remains yours.
That you will not use Forgeroo for any unlawful purpose, or to produce listings for goods you are not entitled to sell.
That the decision to publish is yours. Forgeroo prepares drafts; you choose what goes into your shop, how much of it and when, and you remain responsible for meeting the rules of whichever marketplace you publish to.
That you will keep your account credentials confidential. A subscription is for the use of one person and may not be shared.
17. Intellectual property
You retain all rights in artwork you upload. We claim no ownership of it, do not license it to any third party, and do not use it to train any model.
Mockups and listing text produced by Forgeroo are yours to use, edit and sell with, without time limit, including after your subscription ends.
A reduced-resolution copy of each design is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, only so that it can write the listing text. We do not keep it. Anthropic deletes it within 30 days, except in the cases described in section 6. Files hosted temporarily for transfer to a print provider can no longer be opened about seven days after upload, and are deleted automatically a day or so after that.
18. Listing content
Listing text generated by Forgeroo is provided as a draft for your review and editing. We make no representation that it will achieve any particular search ranking, visibility or level of sales.
What is sent to the AI, what is done with it, and your disclosure obligation as a seller are set out in section 6.
19. Your data
We process personal data in accordance with our privacy policy, which explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
Where you connect a print provider, the API key you enter is stored on your own computer and is not transmitted to us. Your relationship with that provider is governed by their terms, and the key gives Forgeroo the access that they permit.
20. Changes to the service
We develop Forgeroo continuously and may add, change or remove features. We will not make a change that materially reduces the core functionality of your plan without giving you at least 30 days’ notice, during which you may cancel and receive a refund of the unused portion of what you have paid.
We may carry out maintenance that makes the service temporarily unavailable, and will give notice where it is planned.
21. What we do not guarantee
Results and earnings
Forgeroo does not guarantee sales, revenue, profit, search ranking, visibility, traffic or any other commercial outcome. Results depend on your designs, your pricing, your market and factors outside anyone’s control. Nothing on this site, in the app or in any marketing material is a promise or forecast of financial success.
Your Etsy, Printify or Gelato account
Those platforms set their own rules and enforce them at their own discretion. We are not responsible, and accept no liability, if your shop or account is suspended, restricted, penalised, closed or otherwise affected, whether or not you used Forgeroo in connection with it. Complying with their policies is your responsibility, and that includes Etsy’s requirements on disclosing items created using AI and on attributing your designs.
Forgeroo never talks to Etsy. Where you have connected a print provider, it creates products in that provider’s account using your own key, and anything that reaches Etsy does so through the provider’s own integration and arrives as a draft. Nothing goes live until you publish it. What you list, how much of it and how quickly are therefore your decisions, and we make no representation about what volume or pace of listing is safe on any marketplace. If a sudden rise in shop activity is a concern for you, publish gradually. Forgeroo preparing a batch quickly does not mean you have to list it quickly.
Availability and accuracy
We do not guarantee that Forgeroo will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the listings it produces will be free of mistakes. You should check what it writes before you publish it. We also cannot guarantee that Etsy, Printify or Gelato will continue to operate as they do today; they are third-party services and they change.
22. Limits on our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit or exclude. If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with Forgeroo is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of sales, loss of business, loss of goodwill or loss of anticipated savings.
23. Termination by us
We may suspend or close an account that is used unlawfully, shared between multiple people, or used in a manner that impairs the service for others. We will give our reasons and refund the unused portion of any payment made.
We may also decline to provide the service to someone who has repeatedly subscribed and cancelled within the cancellation period in order to obtain the service without paying for it. This does not affect your statutory right to cancel any subscription you have already entered into, and any refund due on that subscription will still be paid. It means only that we are not obliged to enter into a further contract.
If we cease to operate Forgeroo, we will give notice and refund the unused portion of any payment made.
24. Your legal rights
If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. These include that a digital service must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and that it will be performed with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects those rights, and they cannot be excluded or restricted by agreement.
Independent advice on those rights is available from Citizens Advice.
25. Complaints
Complaints should be sent to support@forgeroo.app. We aim to acknowledge within two working days and to resolve the matter within 14 days. Where we are unable to resolve a complaint, we will set out our position and your options in writing.
26. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms, but only for a reason on this list: to reflect a change in the law or in what a regulator requires; to reflect a change in how Forgeroo works or in the services it depends on; to improve security; to correct an error or something unclear; or to reflect a change in our costs.
Where we do, we will tell you by email before the amendment takes effect. If a change is to your disadvantage you may cancel, and we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.
Where we change the price of your subscription, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and you may cancel before the new price applies.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, which this clause does not seek to exclude.
27. General
Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
Transfer. We may transfer these terms to another business, for example if ours is sold. We will tell you if that happens, and it will not reduce your rights. You may not transfer your account to anyone else without our agreement.
Events outside our control. We are not liable for failure to perform where that failure is caused by something beyond our reasonable control, including failures of the internet, of hosting providers, or of the marketplaces and print providers Forgeroo connects to.
Whole agreement. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about Forgeroo.
28. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. This clause does not seek to exclude either.
If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you may be able to refer it to an alternative dispute resolution provider. We are not currently a member of an ADR scheme, and we will tell you so in writing when we give our final response to a complaint.
29. Cancellation form
Completion of this form is not obligatory; any clear statement of your decision to cancel is sufficient. It is reproduced here because you are entitled to be provided with it.
